Bus Stop 7 open air market

Mooikloof Heights

We took a 45 min ride through to Bus Stop 7 in Mooikloof Heights, Pretoria this morning to check out this open air market. Interesting that they have a number of stalls without a restaurant. We normally do a breakfast run to a nice location for the breakfast… not today. We ended up ordering a bacon, egg and cheese toasted sandwich with a cappuccino take away. No restaurant reviews to hand out today, but we really did enjoy the leisurely ride this morning.

At Bus Stop 7 open air market, there were a number of take away stalls offering everything from freshly baked breads to boerewors rolls, sushi, calamari burgers, toasted sandwiches, cheeses, sauces, chip n dip, cakes and sweets. There were a few coffee stalls, gin on tap and craft beer available. They have lots of seating available to just sit and relax. But no restaurant!!!

Please note that there is a R20 per person entrance fee, not sure why? It is not that we think this is expensive but just strange that you would be charging an entrance fee to an open air market… we spent about an hour at the market walking around checking out the various stalls, had our toastie and coffee and then left. Not really our thing!!! It was a great ride out this morning as it was clear blue skies, but not scorching hot yet. We got home by 11:30am before it really got hot. Into the pool to enjoy some well deserved relaxation and a cider to cool off.

At the bottom of this blog, you can scroll all the way to the bottom to view all the places we have visited over the past 6 years. Click on the name of the restaurant and it will open up, where we went and our experience of the place. Hope you enjoyed this blog, hope to see you out and about soon.
